Blinds to Go wants full 100% pre-payment

I purchased fabric sheer vertical blinds 4/07/21, paid 50% and was informed that it would take about 40 days. On 4/28/21 I got the call that the order was ready. In order to book the installation appointment, the store now demands the order be paid in full, i.e. before blinds are delivered and installed.
I would like the installation to go forward and pay when the work is complete. order 709033

Disappointing Experience

I ordered by window shades in October. The wrong valences were sent and installed. Some of the pulley chains were metal and some were plastic. I have spoken to the designer, the installer and customer service several times and I get the same response. “I’ll check into it and get back to you”! But they don’t. And I didn’t realize when the designer came out and I placed my order that the entire amount was to be paid in full ($1,600)! Very upset that It’s taken 3 months (so far) and a lot of my time with phoning calls. I am beyond disappointed with this experience and with all parties involved. But in the process learned a very valuable lesson: NEVER pay for anything in full until the entire job is satisfactorily completed, because once you do no one has any incentive to help you if you should have a problem. Very Disappointed!

If I could do 0 star I would give you 0 to negative star! I ordered 4 window coverings, 3 for a bay window, and one for the skylight. I paid for professional measurment, and when installing the skylight covering, the measurement was wrong and he suggested to add the side bar on one side of my wall to make the skylight curtain work. I refused the idea and he re-measured it, and I thought that I will just get it remade. However your sales had dragged to not make the re-order, and 2 months later when I checked again, he is trying to make a deal with me so that I pay 50% the cost of the re-order. The ones installed on my bay window are very poor quality too. Super bad experince so far. I hope that I can get this correct skylight ordered and installed at no extra cost to me, or I will find the place I can complain all the way! My order number is 653970. I just talked with another rep and he said he will get back to me tomorrow on re-ordering.

Customer Service

I had a wood blind that I purchased several years ago from Blinds to Go. The tilt mechanism handle broke off and so it was a challenge to open and close blinds. I contacted Blinds to Go about the problem this past summer. Ann P was my case manager assigned to resolve the problem. She was courteous and patient with my challenge to take the correct view pics of the broken tilt mechanism and send to her. — then she immediately sent the labels so that I could return the part for repair. When the repairs didn’t work , she replaced the blind. I love Blinds To Go. They are going above and Beyond to deliver excellent customer service continuously standing by their product , despite this pandemic.

My purchasing experience with Blinds to Go was great!

My purchasing experience with Blinds to Go was great. The sales rep as very knowlegable and showed me several options for my window coverings. I ended up buying completely different blinds than I orginally thought I wanted to buy. I love my new blinds and would recommend Blinds to Go to all my friends and family.

Buttons on bottom of 3 blinds where…

Buttons on bottom of 3 blinds where missing. I received some more buttons but can't install them. A knot is in the way and buttons won't go in.

Overall the blinds look good, but quality issues.

Overall the blinds look good, however upon closer inspection you’ll notice that the headers are made out of thin aluminum and plastic. While smaller units function just fine, large units have too much weight for the thin aluminum frame which leads to the entire frame bending when lifting the blinds. You can add additional support brackets but they only providing a minimal amount of additional support. I have several 3 on 1 and 2 on 1 blinds and lifting the from the center spot causes the whole unit to twist. So far this hasn’t been a serious issue but I suspect it will seriously reduce the life span of the blinds. My biggest is that they blinds are shipped in flimsy cardboard boxes, which is fine for the smaller units but the larger ones are crushing themselves under their own weight. Every single one of my larger blinds has damage of some sort. BTG will replace the units, and they did, but the replacements usually are damaged as well, I eventually gave up and fixed the blinds myself or just dealt with the damage. The other issue I have is that the valence is the exact size of the header, so it barely covers the ugly part of the blinds and leaves the hardware visible, ideally they should make them an inch wider and taller to cover the hardware. All that being said, they look pretty good from a distance.

Disappointed with the blackout cellular shade…

We purchased the blackout cellular shades for a bedroom. We are very disappointed with the product. The shade does not quite reach the window frame, hence some light still gets in from the bottom of the shade. However my biggest complaint about these blinds is the lift mechanism. And it makes the shade feel flimsy. You need to use two hand to lift the shade to make it even... and the small levers do not fit on the base smoothly, so there is a ridge in the lowest cellular shade. I would not recommend these shades. We had these same style installed in another room by another company that went out of business and they were far superior.

We ordered few blinds from Livingston store, the lady was very helpful and friendly explaining the questions that I have.
Blinds are beautiful and fits windows perfectly.

Very Reliable Products!

Blinds To Go always has repaired/replaced our blinds that developed a problem. They do stand behind their products! Have been happy with the quality and performance of their blinds.

Store service was excellent

Store service was excellent. We have had problems with mounting hooks on end of chain mechanism on the blinds(twice), very flimsy. Two out of 7 blinds had to be returned.
